Founded two years before LFC, Sevilla Futbol Club are one of the two oldest clubs in Spain, an honour they share with fellow Andalusians Recreativo de Huelva. But they are the oldest club in Spain solely devoted to football. The two clubs also contested the first ever match in their country, with Sevilla winning by two goals to nil.
Fundado dos años antes que el LFC, el Sevilla Fútbol Club es uno de los dos clubes más antiguos de España, un honor que comparten con sus vecinos andaluces del Recreativo de Huelva. Pero el Sevilla Fútbol Club es el club más antiguo exclusivamente nacido para el fútbol. Ambos clubes también disputaron el primer partido en la historia del fútbol en su país, ganando el Sevilla FC por dos goles a cero.
